What We Do:

The York Emergency Management Department supports the disaster preparedness of the Town of York. Working with other departments in town such as Police, Fire, and Public Works, we coordinate, communicate, and deploy needed emergency services and supplies before, during, and after a disaster. The department works to develop and maintain contingency, preparedness, and response plans for the town in case of emergency; and works to provide education to the public on how to prepare for, and reduce the effects of disasters.

Our Mission:

To provide York residents, businesses, non-profit organizations, and visitors the education and support needed to improve individual capabilities to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from a variety of hazards and disasters.
