I've known Sarah "Tinker" Newick for many years. As we were talking and taking this selfie she shared with me something impressive I'd never known before. In the 1980's, Tinker was the first female Harbor Master in Maine, right here in York!

And her work has stood the test of time - her report on docks in the York River is still a standard reference to us all these years later. I hope any of my work has even half the longevity of her work!
