FEMA Flood Map Appeal Period: August 1 - October 29, 2018


•FEMA has published a notice of the proposed flood hazard determinations in the Federal Register and will publish a public notification concerning the appeal process in the York Weekly on or about July 25, 2018 and August 1, 2018.   These proposed flood hazard determinations, will become the basis for the floodplain management measures that the Town will adopt to remain qualified for participation in the national Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).  A 90-day appeal period for the community and citizens begins August 1 and ends on October 29, 2018.  All appeals must be submitted prior to the end of the 90-day appeal period to the Town to be forwarded to FEMA for review.
