For the past 5 years, you probably haven’t seen the gentleman here next to me doing his quiet work for the Town. Phil heads up our efforts to maintain over 200 small cemeteries and family burial grounds, and veterans’ graves in York. He and his crew do it all, from located the hidden burial grounds, to pruning and raking, to fixing fences and restoring toppled broken stones.

Restoring the sense of solemn dignity to the final resting place of many who lived here before. Thank you Phil!
