I hope you have the chance to meet Jon Rogers and Günter as I did .. moving slowly and at a safe distance!

Günter is the Town's police dog, and Jon works with him day and night. There are a handful of K-9 teams in southern Maine and we are fortunate to have one here in York. Günter has helped find missing people, has located evidence, and has outrun a few folks, too. Good idea, right? Try to run from a police dog.

Günter (and Jon) will soon be going back to school, this time for drug training. This is one of many initiatives of the York Police Department to help keep our community safe, and they do a great job!
