1. 2010 Assessor’s Report-Rick Mace
Rick Mace gave his annual Tax Assessor’s Report. The new tax rate is $9.10 per thousand dollars of value. This is up $.52 from the 2009/2010 rate of $8.58. This is the third time since 2002 that the tax rate has increased. This year we had a 1.78% decrease in the Town’s total taxable assessed valuation
2. Ordinance Amendments for November 2010
The second public hearing was held on the Ordinance Amendments for the November 2010 General Referendum
3. License Applications
Continuum dba Sentry Hill at York Harbor (Victualers, Liquor) was approved for their 2010 business license.
4. Property Redemption Request: 65 Broadway; Map 0025 Lot 0114-0003
The Board approved the property redemption request for 65 Broadway; Map 0025 Lot 0114-0003
5. Discussion and approval of Proposed Ordinance Amendments and forward to the November 2010 General Referendum
The Board moved the proposed 21 Ordinance Amendments forward to the November 2010 General Referendum
6. Re-Appointment of Kathryn Newell as Assistant Code Enforcement Officer and Alternate Local Plumbing Inspector
The Board re-appointed Kathryn Newell as an Assistant Code Enforcement Officer and Alternate Local Plumbing Inspector
7. Discussion of Cliff Path Right of Way and Possible Pedestrian Easement
The Board moved to schedule a public hearing on September 13th 2010 regarding the Cliff Path Right of Way and Possible Pedestrian Easement offered by the York Trust
8. Discussion of Mt. Agamenticus School House Citizen’s Petition
The Board moved to follow the Town Attorney’s advice and not accept the Citizen’s petition as legal and not move it forward to a budget referendum
9. Special Event Permits: The following Special Event Permits were approved:
· The Greater York Chamber of Commerce CarFest-Saturday, October 23rd from 7:00AM to 2:00 PM
· The Greater York Chamber of Commerce SaleFest-Saturday October 9th, Sunday October 10th and Monday October 11th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
· The Greater York Chamber of Commerce HarvestFest/KidFest-Friday October 15th, Saturday October 16th, Sunday October 17th and Monday October 18th from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
· Patriot Pole Vault Club-Saturday, September 11th from 6:00 AM to 4:00PM
