Community Development

The Community Development Department was created in July 2007 to provide code enforcement, planning, geographic information systems (GIS), and community development services.  We deal with most land use, building construction, development and conservation issues facing our community.

One of the most common reasons people check our page is to get copies of ordinance and Comp Plan amendments in advance of a public hearing or referendum.  Check the link to the left called, "Posted Documents."  And if you're looking for anything relating to a particular board or committee, such as their list of members or their agenda, see if they have their own web page - use the "Committees" pull-down menu in the header at the top of this page.  And if you're looking for an ordinance or regulation adopted by the Town, use the "Documents" pull-down menu and click on "All Town Codes."

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact any one of us.  We're here to help.
