- Major Building Code Changes -
Effective December 1, 2011 the State of Maine is requiring the Town to administer and enforce the new Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code (MUBEC). Specifically, it means we're about to begin using the 2009 editions of the International Residential Code and International Building Code, plus a few others. The State's intention is that building code requirements and administration will be uniform State-wide.
